Terms & Conditions
Eligibility
1.1 Open to Surabaya and Liverpool citizens and residents;
1.2 Ages 15–25; under 18s require parental or guardian consent.
1.3 University, school, community, and independent creators are welcome; organiser staff and immediate family are not eligible.
1.4 Prior works may be submitted only if they meet originality rules and have not won a national or international award in the same category.

Submission Requirements
2.1 Submit via the official BRANSEY online form only.
2.2 Provide requested materials where prompted in the form.
2.3 Theme: Climate Change with Inclusivity and Diversity (Indonesia × UK culture connection).
2.4 Accepted languages: English and Indonesian; subtitles or translations may be requested.
2.5 One lead application per project; the same applicant cannot lead multiple projects in this call.
2.6 Deadlines are firm; late or incomplete entries may be disqualified.
2.7 Technical specs must follow the form instructions.

Originality and Idea Ownership
3.1 Entries must be the applicant’s original concept and execution.
3.2 No plagiarism or unauthorised adaptations; obtain written clearances where needed.
3.3 If inspired by real events or public-domain materials, disclose sources and how you transform them.
3.4 Disclose any use of generative AI tools and confirm no third-party rights are infringed.

Rights and Permissions
4.1 You warrant you hold all necessary rights, licences, and permissions (music, footage, artwork, locations, appearance releases).
4.2 By submitting, you grant the organiser a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use submitted materials for selection, jury review, schedule publication, press, educational showcases, and BRANSEY promotion.
4.3 Underlying IP remains with you; any further commercial exploitation requires a separate written agreement.
4.4 You agree not to assert moral rights to prevent reasonable edits for formatting, captioning, or trailer creation for BRANSEY communications.

Content Standards
5.1 No unlawful, defamatory, or inciting content.
5.2 Respect privacy, cultural and religious sensitivities, and child-protection norms.
5.3 No hate speech, non-consensual nudity, or gratuitous violence.
5.4 Follow health and safety protocols during production.

Selection and Evaluation
6.1 Selection is at the discretion of the curatorial panel and jurors appointed by the organiser and partners.
6.2 Criteria include originality, clarity of vision, storytelling strength, cultural relevance, feasibility, and audience impact.
6.3 The organiser may request interviews, pitch sessions, or extra materials.
6.4 Decisions are final and not subject to appeal.

Participation Conditions for Selected Projects
7.1 Selected participants must attend scheduled workshops, mentorships, or screenings.
7.2 Schedules may change with reasonable notice.
7.3 Participants are responsible for their own equipment, data, and backups.
7.4 If travel, visas, or permits are involved, responsibilities and costs will be clarified in writing; taxes or personal costs remain yours unless stated otherwise.

Funding, Prizes, and In-Kind Support
8.1 Any grants, prizes, or in-kind support are subject to sponsor terms and documentation.
8.2 Disbursement may depend on milestones, receipts, or impact reporting.
8.3 The organiser may substitute prizes with items of equal value if necessary.

Data and Privacy
9.1 We collect and process personal data to administer BRANSEY, communicate outcomes, and report to partners.
9.2 Data may be shared with jurors, mentors, and relevant partners under confidentiality.
9.3 You may request data access or correction in line with applicable laws.

Publicity and Credits
10.1 We may use names, bios, photos, and project stills for announcements and media.
10.2 Selected works should include a BRANSEY credit and partner logos as provided.

Disqualification
11.1 Grounds include rule violations, false information, plagiarism, or failure to provide requested clearances.
11.2 The organiser may withdraw selection or awards if a breach is discovered after acceptance.
​
Liability and Indemnity
12.1 The organiser, partners, and venues are not liable for loss, damage, or injury arising from participation except where prohibited by law.
12.2 You agree to indemnify the organiser against claims arising from breaches of these terms or third-party rights.

Code of Conduct
13.1 Maintain professional conduct toward peers, staff, jurors, and audiences.
13.2 Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour may result in removal.
​
Changes and Force Majeure
14.1 The organiser may modify timelines, venues, formats, or terms if reasonably necessary.
14.2 Events beyond control (natural disasters, public emergencies, etc.) may require postponement or cancellation without liability.
​
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
15.1 These terms are governed by Indonesian law.
15.2 Disputes first attempt amicable settlement; unresolved disputes may proceed to arbitration in Indonesia per applicable rules.

Acceptance of Terms
16.1 By submitting, you confirm you understand and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
16.2 If submitting on behalf of a team or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind all contributors.
